HSRA to hold major event to raise money for new student housing

Posted December 12, 2015

Construction of HSRA Hip House already underway

The dinner will include:  Roast beef and asparagus roulades and Caprese skewers; Cranberry Feta Salad—Romaine lettuce with crumbled Feta, dried cranberries and walnuts; Windsor Pork Chop & Grilled Salmon Duo Plate, with herb roasted baby red potatoes and brown butter green beans or Vegetarian Ravioli, and a Chocolate torte with strawberry ice cream.

You can make a difference

An alarming 60 percent of the students at HSRA are currently homeless and/or highly mobile.   Our community is in serious crisis when so many of our young people are left outside in the cold, to feed and fend for themselves.

Now, because of people like you, help is on the way!  HSRA is working with the Shoreview Affordable Housing Initiative (SAHI), the Wilder Foundation, and you, to build a series of      ecologically-friendly duplexes to house homeless/highly-mobile students.  Each house will be called “Hip Hop House,” in honor of our students “hopping” forward: making the courageous decision to re-enter and/or stay in school, and a commitment to love themselves.   Will you help us . . . help ourselves?

HSRA is a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization.  All proceeds are tax-exempt.

Individual tickets can be purchased for $125, or $250 per couple.  Tables can be purchased for $1,000.
