Dr. Charles Crutchfield, III, of Crutchfield Dermatology, has been a long time supporter of High School for Recording Arts and continues to honor our students with his scholarship program.

In 2008, State Farm challenged HSRA to create a grassroots campaign to pass a seat belt law in Minnesota. Based on research, students created a CD on seat belt usage, which was part of the PSA campaign on HSRA’s radio show. The seat belt bill has become law with considerable credit given to HSRA.

The mission of the Under the Radar Foundation is to open our eyes and hearts to those of us who live "under the radar." High School for Recording Arts has been fortunate to be a friend of Under The Radar for over three years.

Sam Seidel-Author of Hip Hop Genius
Sam Seidel-Author of Hip Hop Genius

Sam Seidel has taught in a variety of settings, from first grade to community college, and has directed youth programs for young people affected by incarceration. He now works with several networks of innovative schools, speaks nationally about education issues, and writes for the Husslington Post and other publications.

Student Enterprise

HSRA offers its students the opportunity to gain real world experiences through a number of student enterprises, equipping them with 21st century skills necessary in a competitive job market.
